Ilkka Sammelvuo appointed CEO of Ropo Capital Group
Ropo Capital Group’s board of directors has today appointed Ilkka Sammelvuo as the new CEO of the company.
Artti Aurasmaa, chair of the board says: “This decision marks a natural next step on Ropo Capital Group’s growth journey. Rickard Westlund was appointed CEO to establish Ropo Capital as the Nordic leader in invoice lifecycle services. During his leadership the company has grown and entered Sweden and Norway. Today, Ropo is the market leader in Finland with an established platform to achieve the same position in the Nordics.
The next step for Ropo is to further consolidate and elevate our offering across our Nordic markets and claim our position as the leading partner with a best-in-class platform for automating and optimizing the invoicing lifecycle. Ropo Capital Group has a turnover of more than 100 million Euro and its proprietary platform is used by more than 10 000 companies as a business intelligence tool and to optimize invoicing end-to-end. As a Group, Ropo Capital delivers more than 170 million invoices and other documents a year.
Rickard Westlund was appointed CEO of Ropo Capital Group in August 2020 and has since then led the acquisition and integration of companies in Sweden and Norway, thereby extending Ropo Capital Group’s footprint in the Nordic region. To enable a smooth transition of leadership, Westlund will stay with the company until the end of 2023.
Ilkka Sammelvuo started his career at Ropo Capital Group in 2011 and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer and deputy CEO. He will assume the role of CEO of Ropo Capital Group as of today.

Ilkka Sammelvuo holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Eastern Finland. He joined Ropo Capital Group in 2011 and has held several positions, including CTO, Managing Director for Finland, and Chief Operating Officer.
