Elenia’s 4.1 million electricity invoices will be handled by the Ropo service model – the contract will expand to include invoice delivery and automated receivables management
Elenia will increase its cooperation with Ropo Capital by transferring to Ropo’s single service provider model. In addition to invoice delivery, Ropo will be responsible for the Group’s overall receivables management.
As a result of tendering, Finland’s second largest electricity distribution company, Elenia, has chosen to partner with Ropo Capital in receivables management and debt collection. The cooperation will cover invoice delivery, automated payment control, and reminder and debt collection services.
This transition to a single service provider model will streamline Elenia’s invoicing process and is viewed as an advantage in terms of future development.
– We have been delighted with Ropo’s invoice delivery services, and now that we can handle receivables management as a whole through the company, this expansion of our cooperation will be an interesting step forward. Ropo convinced us of their expertise during the procurement process and offered us the most cost-efficient solution, which also fulfilled our quality requirements, says Ville Sihvola, CEO of Elenia Palvelut Oy.
– Ropo knows the energy sector and has extensive experience of other fields. We will receive expert insights into the development of invoicing and operating models; this type of single service provider model is sure to bring more efficiency to the invoicing process, since different phases can be further streamlined, Sihvola continues.
The contract expansion with Elenia will further strengthen Ropo’s status as Finland’s largest electricity invoice deliverer. Elenia distributes electricity to approximately 420,000 customers; in 2018, the Group will send out some 4.1 million invoices.
– The Elenia Group is one of the largest electricity invoicers and an important account for us. Elenia is developing and expanding its range of services in the energy sector. With the increase of services, total volumes will also grow. For us, this is an interesting partnership in every respect, comments Artti Aurasmaa, CEO of Ropo Capital.
Ropo will take charge of Elenia’s overall invoice delivery and receivables management by 1 May 2018.
